The Dallas Mavericks are cutting a veteran guard prior to the start of training camp.
Per Keith Smith of Spotrac and the league's player transaction log, Dallas has cut Exhibit 10 signing D'Moi Hodge. Smith expects him to quickly link up with the Mavericks' NBAGL affiliate, the Texas Legends.

Hodge began his pro career out of Missouri when he signed a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers last year. The 6-foot-4 pro spent most of his time with the Lakers' G League affiliate in El Segundo, the South Bay Lakers, although he did appear in seven bouts with the Lakers proper.
Another NBA opportunity for Hodge
L.A. cut Hodge midway through the 2023-24 season, but he quickly joined South Bay outright. His rights were traded to the Portland Trail Blazers' NBAGL squad, the Rip City Remix.
Hodge spent the 2024-25 season with Greek team Aris Thessaloniki.

Now, it appears Hodge is angling to be closer to the NBA action in the hopes of a future call-up.
He'll get to once again ply his trade in the G League with Texas.
Across 30 combined games with South Bay and Rip City, Hodge averaged 12.6 points while slashing .395/.354/.788, plus 4.6 rebounds, 2.0 steals, 1.6 assists and 0.5 blocks a night.

Hodge's departure leaves two official Exhibit 10 signings on the club's roster heading into training camp next week, Moussa Cisse and Matthew Cleveland, plus reported training camp pieces Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Jamarion Sharp (whose additions aren't officially confirmed yet).
That group could be competing for the Mavericks' one remaining open two-way roster slot next to Ryan Nembhard and Miles Kelly.
