Mavericks fans think Cooper Flagg was almost traded because of a fake Nico Harrison post image

The long-demanded Nico Harrison exodus has finally happened, and the NBA world is making the most of it.

After the general manager was fired by the Dallas Mavericks, social media was flooded with reactions from fans and analysts.

One post featured a fake report that had some people even more enraged at Harrison than when he traded Luka Doncic last year.

Fake Nico Harrison post goes viral

NBACentel, a popular parody account on the social media platform X, struck again with a fake report about Harrison trying to trade Cooper Flagg before he was fired.

The fake report generated over one million views within 24 hours of being posted.

Trading the No. 1 overall pick just a few games into his first season would be even more unprecedented than trading Doncic was.

It was a report that justifiably frustrated fans who believed it to be true.

Most followers of NBACentel understood the post was from a parody account, and it led to some funny reactions.

For the fans unfamiliar with the account, no, this report is far from the truth. There is no evidence or historical precedent for Harrison trading Flagg.

Still, if something as outrageous as the Luka Doncic trade could happen, anything is on the table.
