What news about Cooper Flagg was reported recently?

Shams Charania of ESPN reported that Cooper Flagg will be having a private meeting with the Dallas Mavericks on Jun. 17.

This is just eight days before the 2025 NBA Draft and is likely just a last-minute meeting to make sure both Flagg and the Mavs are prepared for when they draft him on Jun. 25.

This isn't a shock by any means, but it just indicates that we are closer to seeing the start of what could be a very long and successful relationship between Flagg and the Mavericks organization.

The Mavs have been under fire for the past few months, since trading away Luka Doncic, but getting the number one overall pick has simmered down some of the irate fans on social media.

The Mavs will look to add Flagg to a team with some all-time greats, like Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis, as they start their preparation to try and win their first NBA Finals in over a decade.
