Cooper Flagg's mom, Kelly, has weighed in on the Dallas Mavericks' firing of Nico Harrison.

It was actually a two-layered interaction, with Kelly really chiming in to clarify herself.

The first social media activity by Kelly Flagg on X came in the form of a retweet. She reposted a fan who wrote, "Cooper Flagg should not have to listen to 'Fire Nico' chants when a teammate of his is at the free throw line with the game on the line. Nico Harrison will be a huge distraction and a stain on this franchise until he is fired. Get rid of him as soon as possible so we can all move forward."

Those chants took place during Monday night's 116-114 loss to the Bucks. P.J. Washington was at the line for three free throws while trailing by three, and he missed the second shot before being forced to try intentionally missing the third.

Once that Kelly repost started circulating, she felt the need to write her own message.

Kelly Flagg wrote, "Retweet wasn't about firing Nico. It was about the fact that the fans were chanting during our free throws. Our guys had nothing to do with what went down. It's done now so we all need to move on. Hopefully better days ahead."

Harrison traded away Luka Doncic nine months ago in a deal widely accepted as one of the worst in NBA history.

Somehow, the Mavericks' franchise lucked into the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft lottery to end up with Cooper Flagg out of Duke against the odds.

But that wasn't Harrison's doing. Anyone would've drafted Flagg if the luck of the draw got them the No. 1 pick.

Now, Harrison is gone, and the Flagg family and the rest of the Mavericks will move forward.
