The Dallas Mavericks have gotten off to a rocky start as they await Kyrie Irving's return from a torn ACL, and new health concerns for Anthony Davis are already threatening to make matters worse.
Davis, who started an Oct. 29 game against the Indiana Pacers despite being on the injury report, exited after only six minutes of action and did not return as the Mavericks faced their former coach, Rick Carlisle.
While the Mavericks offense has been hit-and-miss early in the season, Davis came into that contest contest on a streak of three consecutive 25-point games.
Here are the latest injury updates on Davis.

Update: Davis is set to miss his seventh consecutive game after owner Patrick Dumont requested medical data proving he could not re-aggravate his calf strain, per ESPN's Tim McMahon.
Davis was ruled out on Oct. 29 due to left lower-leg soreness.
Davis was on the Mavericks' injury report before that game due to "bilateral Achilles tendinopathy," more commonly known as Achilles tendinitis that causes soreness in the back of the ankle. While Dallas didn't call Davis' injury an Achilles issue, he was spotted rubbing his lower left leg near the Achilles before leaving the game.

After the game, Davis was diagnosed with a calf strain.
Mavericks coach Jason Kidd said after the game that Davis tried to return, but the team opted to play it safe. "We'll see how he feels going forward," Kidd told reporters.

Davis hasn't dealt with many major injuries in his career, but the list of minor-to-moderate injuries that have forced him to miss time is quite long. Davis has played more than 62 games in only one of the past seven seasons, and the injury bug bit him again in his Mavericks debut this past February when he suffered an adductor strain that sidelined him for six weeks.
