With a smaller-sized back court, the Cleveland Cavaliers have shown immense success in recent years in the front court combination of Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen.

Mobley, the 2024-25 Defensive Player of the Year, played primarily at power forward while Jarrett Allen anchored the paint at center. Allen's dominance inside helped him lead the league in field goal percentage last season at 70.6%.

However, reports are saying that in the current situation that Jarrett Allen is in, NBA teams could be interested in trading for the veteran big man.

Although the large Cavaliers front court looks good on paper, maybe Jarrett Allen playing at center is holding Evan Mobley from reaching his true potential. At 6-foot-11, Mobley's stature could make him a possible fit at center.

SI.com's Chris Mannix reported on the situation, saying that "most believe Mobley's long-term future is at center and Allen, a durable rim protector who shot a league-high 70.6% last season, could be available for the right mix of rotation players."

However, whatever team that would be willing to go and get Allen would also have to be willing to take on the 27-year-old's three-year, $90.72 million contract that has him linked to the Cavaliers through the 2028-29 season.

Allen's unusual 6-foot-9, 243-pound frame at the center position is also something to take note of here. Although he's shown consistent success as the five in the NBA, whatever team that's willing to deal for him would have to adjust to his inside-scoring play style.
