On Monday night, the star guard led his team to a 114-98 win over the Orlando Magic.
During the matchup, Mitchell checked in for 35 minutes, alongside Evan Mobley and Jaylon Tyson, who helped lead the way. The All-Star-caliber guard put together a dominant scoring showing.
Mitchell shot 15-25 from the field and went 10-12 from beyond the arc. He knocked down five of his eight threes. He came just five points shy of a 50-point outing.
The Cavaliers won the game on the backs of Mitchell’s 45 points, four assists, four rebounds, and one steal.
With another 45-point game in the books, Mitchell tied with Stephen Curry and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for having the most 45-point games this season. They each have three.
