The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a bumpy start to the season with injuries and more losses than they would've expected.
That has sprouted trade rumors. ESPN's Shams Charania has said Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley are untouchable, but that leaves names like Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen and De'Andre Hunter conceptually available.
Will they actually trade any? That's much less certain.
A new report from The Athletic's Joe Vardon indicates they aren't in a hurry.
"Cleveland’s front office, led by president of basketball operations Koby Altman, is not in a hurry to overhaul the roster, even though the Cavs have the NBA’s most expensive collection of players (with a payroll of $229.8 million, they are the league’s only team currently over the second apron)," Vardon writes. "Team executives want to see how it looks once all of the Cavs’ projected starters are on the court together, which has yet to happen this year. To that end, at least two trade offers for rotation players were rejected by Cleveland, league sources said."

It's interesting to know they've gotten two concrete offers and not gone for them.
Vardon doesn't make clear which players the offers were for.
There's still a lot of time in the NBA trade season for things to change. The Cavs could move in a better or worse direction, and they could potentially get better offers, too.
But for now, Cleveland still has a very talented roster. It makes sense not to rush things.
The Eastern Conference might be there for the taking this season, if the Cavs can right the ship in time to make it happen.
