The Cavs fell short of expectations this postseason, failing to put up a fight against the Pacers in the second round.
Already being in offseason mode for a few weeks, Cleveland is beginning to work out some potential moves to revamp the roster for the 2025-26 NBA season.
From what has been heard by people around the league, it wouldn't be a shocker to see Darius Garland or Jarrett Allen moved in a trade this offseason.

Why would Cleveland trade Jarrett Allen or Darius Garland?
On the Wine and Gold Talk podcast, host Chris Fedor talked about who the Cavs view as untouchable, as well as players Cleveland would be willing to move.
"I have been getting the sense that the Cavs would be more willing to entertain and at least consider possibilities for Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland than they have in the past," Fedor said.
On top of this, he believes that Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley are the only true untouchable players on the roster for Cleveland.
There have been trade proposals by some analysts involving Evan Mobley in a hypothetical deal for Giannis Antetokounmpo, but that would probably be the only extreme case where Cleveland would move on from Mobley.
With the Cavs' contracts putting them high in luxury tax expenses, they might choose to let go of one of the main core four players like Allen or Garland.

Mobley and Mitchell both just had career years, so crafting a team around your two main franchise players would be the most logical thing to do when trying to improve an already good roster.
Mitchell made the All-NBA 1st team in the 2024-25 season, averaging 24.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.3 steals.
Mobley made the All-NBA 2nd team as well as winning the Defensive Player of the Year award. He averaged a career-high 18.5 points per game.
Despite Cleveland looking at the value of Garland and Allen, both players are still near the primes of their careers and have a lot of value on the trade market.
With more teams in the East posing as threats this year and in the upcoming season, Cleveland may look to make a big move to ensure it keeps its spot as a top contender.
