The Chicago Bulls can't be happy about missing Coby White due to injury to start the season.
But this could be a massive opportunity for Jevon Carter.
Carter's name may sound familiar. He's been around for a while as a gritty grinder of a point guard.
He was a collegiate star at West Virginia, but he's never really gotten the opportunity to show himself in that light in the NBA.
The Bulls have other options to handle the ball, but if Carter gets his chance here, he might seize it.

Why Jevon Carter is ideal replacement for Coby White injury
Carter had a massively impressive preseason.
He attempted 7.2 3-pointers per game, and he made 44.4% of them.
That has always been the question for Carter, and if his shot is improved, it goes quite well with his distribution and defense.

He's one of the most pestering defenders in the NBA.
"He also routinely picks up ballhandlers fullcourt," Bulls reporter K.C. Johnson wrote on X. "With Coby White sidelined, curious to see what opportunities Carter gets."
This will be Carter's eighth season in the NBA. It'll be his third in Chicago.
And finally, just maybe, he's ready for a major breakthrough.
