The Chicago Bulls are having a rough season so far. The Bulls currently stand as the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference, having a record of 19-21. Their last ten games have been a bumpy ride, winning just four games while losing six. Injuries seem to keep piling on as the team can’t stay healthy consistently. One player’s injury has affected the team’s performance tremendously with his absence.
Josh Giddey's injury
Bulls’ star Josh Giddey suffered a left hamstring injury back on December 29th against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It was announced that Giddey would miss at least two weeks to fully recover.
The Bulls were already dealing with Coby White’s lingering calf injury that has been a constant nuisance in terms of his availability. They have prompted to take precautionary measures to keep White on the court with limited restrictions. However, Josh Giddey may return very soon.

Head coach Billy Donovan announced on January 14th that Giddey is beginning to ramp up. The ramped-up period is expected to last until a week from now. If all goes well, he could potentially return even before the beginning of February, depending on his progress.
There’s no question Josh Giddey is having a career year. He’s averaging 19.2 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists, making his case for a potential first-time all-star appearance. Although it could be in jeopardy if he’s set to miss more games, he’s established himself as one of the great all-around players in the league. The Bulls will be happy to have him back in the lineup when he’s 100%.
