The Chicago Bulls watched their starting guard, Josh Giddy, leave Monday’s game early with an apparent leg injury.
As the third quarter played on, Giddy brought the ball up and was seen instantly grabbing at his backside after tossing a pass to the starting center Nikola Vucevic.
Giddey was able to walk off the court using his own power, but he was clearly uncomfortable. The veteran guard went back to the locker room to get checked out.

Will Josh Giddey return for the Bulls?
The Bulls didn’t waste much time making their final decision on Giddey’s playing status for the remainder of the game. According to Bulls Insider KC Johnson, the team confirmed that the veteran guard would not return to close out the game against Minnesota. They also confirmed that it’s a hamstring concern for Giddey.
When Giddey left the court, he had played for 18 minutes. The veteran was struggling with his shooting from the field, going just 3-10, making one of his four threes. He added four points from the charity stripe, scoring 11 points through the first three quarters of the game.
Along with his scoring, Giddey produced three assists and came down with four rebounds. The Bulls were trailing the Timberwolves by single digits when he went out.
Giddey wasn’t the only member of the Bulls to leave Monday’s game early. The starting guard, Coby White, suffered a calf-related setback during the first half. He was ruled out as the Bulls started playing the second half. Now, the two starters will be names to keep an eye on as the Chicago backcourt has some questions moving forward.
Following Monday’s action, the Bulls will take on the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night.
