While sitting at 8-18, the Charlotte Hornets have been a constant "what if" franchise as they continue to battle injuries season after season.
It would be exciting to see what a starting five of LaMelo Ball, Kon Knueppel, Brandon Miller, Miles Bridges, and Ryan Kalkbrenner could put together. With so many injuries, there's been a small sample size of seeing this lineup on the court.
This has stemmed trade rumors throughout the league. Brandon Miller used to be one player who wasn't involved, but now it seems like he is.
Brandon Miller enters trade talks due to injury concerns
NBA insiders Sam Amico and Michael Scotto have mentioned that the "once untouchable" Brandon Miller has become a possible trade candidate while he's failed to stay healthy over the past two seasons.
Over a 12-month span, Miller has suffered an ankle sprain, a ligament tear in his right wrist, and a left shoulder subluxation.
These injuries have led the 23-year-old to miss 71 games over the past two seasons.
He's shown promising flashes, averaging 18.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and shooting 42.2% from the field in his career, but it appears that the setbacks are starting to take a toll on his play. This has led to Miller entering trade rumors.
Charlotte was one team that was active ahead of the NBA trade deadline last season, and they could be a franchise to watch in 2025-26 as well.
The organization is desperate for success, but the cards haven't been turning their way.
