It might be another active trade deadline for the Charlotte Hornets.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are eyeing Hornets guard Collin Sexton, per NBA insider Jake Fischer.
"Minnesota has conducted some diligence on Charlotte's Collin Sexton. The Wolves seem to be intent on establishing their range of options at the position."
Sexton's averaging 15.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists in his first season with Charlotte. He's shooting 48.9% from the field, 36.6% from deep and 87.9% from the free throw line. The veteran has missed eight games for the injury-riddled Hornets this season with a quad issue.

Charlotte traded for Sexton last summer in a deal with the Utah Jazz. It sent Jusuf Nurkic to Utah for Sexton and a second-round pick. Sexton's $18.9 million expiring contract could be a useful trade asset for the Hornets, who are still looking to grow their future draft capital.
But a trade with Minnesota might be tricky, as the Timberwolves are deep into the second apron. Mike Conley would likely be in the deal, along with another player or two to match Sexton's salary number.
The Hornets (9-20) are 4.5 games out of the final play-in spot and may opt to keep some of their veteran players if the team makes a playoff push, according to Fischer.
"Sources say that the Hornets, furthermore, are also open for business to a degree, but that might only mean shopping veteran guard Collin Sexton as Charlotte — sporting the league's longest playoff drought at nine seasons and counting — clings to hope that it can still be a Play-In team."
