The Charlotte Hornets clearly believed in Kon Knueppel. They wouldn't have taken him fourth overall in the 2025 NBA Draft if they didn't.

But could they have envisioned this wonderful a start to an NBA career by the former Duke star? It's hard to think so. Knueppel has just been exceptionally good.

On Thursday night, that included setting a new NBA record.

Knueppel has now made multiple 3-pointers in 15 consecutive games. That's the longest streak by a rookie in league history, according to Real Sports.

The previous record of 14 was held by both Anthony Edwards and Jaden Ivey.

Klay Thompson's longest streak of multi-3 games as a rookie was seven. Steph Curry's was six.

Knueppel hasn't just been 3-pointers, either.

He's averaging 19.3 points per game on 47.3% from the floor, 42.7% from 3 and 88.6% from the foul line.

The 6-foot-6 wing is also grabbing 5.2 rebounds a night and dishing out 3.5 assists per contest.

The Hornets are still trying to find their identity, including figuring out how LaMelo Ball fits into their future.

But at least they know they've got a polished shooter and playmaker like Knueppel around for the long haul.
