The Charlotte Hornets get huge praise for building a promising team image

The Charlotte Hornets have been an interesting team over the past few years. They have been acquiring talented players through the NBA Draft, and they look like amazing building blocks. Of course, people would have loved it if they already had the results, but they are building towards something.

This season, they are still quite mediocre with a 14-25 record. However, they have had a lot of promising results, including the blowout victory against the Utah Jazz that set the away game record for the largest margin of victory in Hornets history.

The Hornets could build on a promising foundation

With LaMelo Ball as the star point guard, the Hornets have not been successful. However, he is getting a better supporting cast with the current lineup. The promising wings of Brandon Miller and Kon Knueppel are fantastic teammates to have, especially with their ceilings as scorers.

Ball is also a superb offensive player with his scoring and playmaking. However, he could become a much better player if he could get the best out of his teammates. If he gets the right balance of his signature flashiness and a more controlled style that can help his teammates, the Hornets could be dangerous.

It can be challenging to play on a team that has limited success. However, there is some promising signs for this Hornets team that has people excited, including the legendary Carmelo Anthony.

"Charlotte's one of those teams that feel like they are building something. You could see it, you can feel it. They got a sick energy out there. That's the difference between playing free and freedom. LaMelo really cares about the game, that's how he fell in love with the game," Anthony said on 7PM in Brooklyn.

"I just hope Charlotte does what they do to continue building around Shorty, because Shorty is legit."

If they can keep building around Ball and his abilities, the Hornets could surprise some people. Of course, they would like to build a team similar to the Oklahoma City Thunder, and they have the pieces.

The expectations are not that high, but the Hornets could be the next team that surprises people. The Detroit Pistons have done that this season, and the Hornets have the talent to be a top team, especially with Ball as the centerpiece.
