Jordi Fernandez on why he is impressed with what he has seen from Danny Wolf image

The Brooklyn Nets have plenty of rookies this season, and head coach Jordi Fernandez has made sure to give them minutes throughout the campaign. Egor Demin is probably the standout player, but Danny Wolf has been impressive recently.

At 6'11", Wolf has a special skill set with his ball-handling ability. He usually plays as a power forward for the Nets, which has helped with his development because he has improved on both ends of the floor.

Fernandez loves what he is seeing from Wolf

The NBA community was puzzled by the Nets' approach to the Draft in 2025. They selected four players with similar skill sets when people expected them to trade at least one of the picks.

They have all stayed in Brooklyn, playing plenty of minutes amongst all four. Demin might be the standout player, but that does not mean the others have been disappointing. In fact, Wolf is getting solid praise from head coach Jordi Fernandez.

Moving forward, the Nets will be utilizing Wolf more with his skill set. He is an impressive big man with positive offensive skills. However, Fernandez is most impressed with how he is contributing on both ends of the floor.

"I think defensively, he has been positive for us. His size matters when switching with like sizes and smaller players. He has done a great job of staying in front of the ball and not getting blown by," Fernandez said about Wolf's performances.

"He's done a great job. He's a good rebounder; we need him to rebound. We've struggled with that recently."

As he continues to develop in the NBA, Wolf could be a difference-maker in the long run. At only 21, Wolf has cemented himself as a rotational piece in Brooklyn.

If he can continue to prove that he belongs in the NBA, Wolf could carve out a lengthy career for himself. It has been a productive season for him with his 7.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game stat line, but he still has much to work on.
