Cam Thomas might appear to be quiet on the court, but a recent post on X showed how certain comments can set him off.
What was said about Thomas?
NBA analyst Zach Lowe said, "The consensus on Cam Thomas — if there is one, and he's got some fans, and he's got some mega-detractors - but the consensus is kind of like Empty Calories Ball Hog."
He's still a RFA and hasn't gotten close to a contract with either the Nets or another team this offseason, but the comments seem a little harsh.
As most would expect, Thomas took the comments personally.
Thomas responded to a post that quoted Lowe, saying "The consenus? F*** you and the consensus @ZachLowe_NBA. This is most likely the same consensus teams that can’t guard me and send double teams from jump ball . Why are we double teaming a guy who's “not that good” make it make sense please."
Cam just came off a career year in the 2024-25 NBA season, averaging 24.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 25 games.
Health issues have kept him off the court at times, but there's no doubt he can fill the basket up when he's on the court.
