To say that Jaylen Brown was unhappy with the officiating in the Boston Celtics’ 100-95 loss to the San Antonio Spurs would be an understatement.
Brown didn’t shoot a single free throw in the game, and as a team the Celtics shot just four, compared to 20 for San Antonio. After the game, Brown blasted the officiating and pointed to what he sees as a season-long trend. Brown knew that he’s likely to get fined for his comments, but he made them anyway,
“I’ll accept a fine at this point. I thought it was some bulls—t tonight,” Brown said. “I think they’re a good defensive team, but they ain’t that damn good. … Every time we play a good team the inconsistency is crazy.
"I’ll take the f—king fine. … Every time we play a good team it’s the same bulls--t. Somebody please pull up the clips. I’m irate how they officiated the game today.”
