Celtics are tied as the best team in the NBA in this consistency stat image

The Celtics have crushed expectations so far this season, currently sitting as the #2 seed in the East, with a record of 28-17.

They've had better records at this time of year in recent seasons, but there's one stat they lead the league in that shows how consistent they are.

What consistency-related stat do the Celtics share the league lead for?

Sean Grande, the Celtics' radio PBP announcer, shared on X a stat that shows how consistent the Celtics are.

In the post, he said that the Celtics are tied with the Pistons this season for the team with the least amount of losses by more than 15 points.

Both teams have only lost by more than 15 points once this season, despite both teams playing 43+ games so far.

The teams that follow Boston and Detroit are the Rockets and Thunder, each with two losses of more than 15 points.

Among the Celtics' 17 losses this season, 6 have been one-possession games, 5 have been two-possession games, 3 have been between 7-10 points and the last 3 were over 10-point losses.

They've been able to stay in games one way or another, which is an encouraging sign in the regular season, when losses don't quite carry as much weight as they do in the postseason.

The Celtics are third in the NBA this season in average DIFF, with a +6.64 and have the second-best DIFF in losses, with a -6.82, behind only the Pistons.
