Jaylen Brown is in the middle of a career year and an MVP-level season, but has continued to express his frustration time after time with the officiating.
He has felt that he doesn't get enough calls, specifically on plays when he drives to the basket.
It's been a theme he has brought up a few times this season, but he reached a boiling point recently, which led to consequences.
What sarcastic comment forced the NBA to fine Jaylen Brown?
After the Celtics' loss to the Spurs on Saturday night, Jaylen Brown let out his anger towards the officials in his post-game interviews.
Regarding the officiating, Brown said, “I'll accept the fine at this point. I thought it was some b— tonight.” “The inconsistency is f— crazy. Give me the fine” (via Noa Dalzell).

Well, Brown did get the fine he was sarcastically asking for, as the NBA announced on Monday that they fined brown $35,000 for his comments.
The Spurs had 20 free throws compared to the Celtics' 4 attempts at the line on Saturday, which might have been why Brown finally chose to say something (Brown had 0 attempts that night).
The Celtics, to this point, are last in FTA this season, with 18.9.
To Brown, a $35,000 fine isn't much considering he's one of the highest-paid players in the NBA, so maybe it's worth it in his mind if he can get the message across at the cost of a fine from the league.
