The Atlanta Hawks have learned something in the days Trae Young has been injured: Jalen Johnson is a beast, and he’s probably the future of the franchise.

With this in mind, rumors circulated that the Hawks would move on from Young, and according to Tim MacMahon, they are initiating trade talks.

“The Hawks certainly are indicating that they're looking for the exit ramp with Trae Young. They did not make any attempt to get him signed to an extension. When that's the case with your face of the franchise, that's a pretty clear message that the end could be near,” MacMahon stated.

With this in mind, here are three trade suitors that could be interested in acquiring the services of Young.

Miami Heat

The Heat and Young have been linked many times now, as Miami has been looking for a superstar leader ever since they traded away Jimmy Butler. This would give them a playmaker in Young to revamp the offense and create a Big Three in Young, Tyler Herro, and Bam Adebayo, as they are all around the same age.

Sacramento Kings

The Kings have stated they are looking for a point guard, and have been linked to Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland. However, Young could be just as good an option as well. He’s only a year older, but has many more accolades than Garland and has shown he can lead a team.

Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavaliers are struggling this season, after being dominant last year. A point guard swap may be in the best interest of both teams; the Cavs get a playmaker to change up their offense, and the Hawks get a PG that can be the sidekick to Johnson, instead of the other way around.
