What time is UFC Rio on today?

  • Date: Saturday, October 11
  • Start time: 7 p.m. ET | 4 p.m. PT
  • Location: Farmasi Arena - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The main card for UFC Rio begins at 7 p.m. ET, with the prelims starting at 4 p.m. ET. Oliveira and Gamrot should make their way to the octagon around 10:15 p.m. ET, depending on how long the undercard fights last.

Oliveira (35-11, 1 NC) is 2-3 in his last five contests. The Sao Paulo-born fighter and former champion lost against Ilia Topuria in June for lightweight gold. He holds multiple records with the UFC.

One of the most respected and dangerous fighters in UFC history, Oliveira, 35, ranked fourth at lightweight, attempts to return to the spotlight once more.

Gamrot (25-3, 1 NC) replaces Rafael Fiziev. The multi-time wrestling medalist from Poland, ranked eighth, is 4-1 in his last five fights. He looks to take advantage of the opportunity and potentially become a title contender in a stacked division.

"I can't wait for this. Every day I wake up, I'm crying," Gamrot told Uncrowned. "But the crying, this is my motivation. This is my extra energy, extra vibes, because this is one of the biggest fights in my life. I know how it's a risk, but if I [get] past Oliveira next weekend, bro, this going to be [a] big open door in my MMA [career]."

Also on the card, former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo (24-5-1), on a two-fight losing streak, faces Montel Jackson (15-2), on a six-fight win streak.

Meanwhile, Joel Alvarez (22-3) looks to win four straight when he faces Vicente Luque (23-11-1).
