The weirdest stat line in Major League Baseball this season belongs to a 33-year old journeyman pitcher for the Washington Nationals.
His name: Jorge Lopez. And the stat: He's somehow got a 6-0 win-loss record while also putting up a 6.00 ERA.
What are the odds? Not high.
Lopez is a right-handed reliever who has appeared in 25 games already for Washington.
His first three wins of the season came in rapid-fire succession on April 23, 25 and 27.
In the first, he blew a one-run lead, but the Nats bounced right back to get him the win.
In the next two, he entered in tie games, ended an inning scoreless and then got immediate run support.
The fourth and fifth wins came on May 4 and 6.
Lopez threw 2.0 scoreless innings on May 4, his longest outing of the season, and the Nationals broke a tie game open.
On May 6, Lopez did the blow-the-lead routine again only for the Nationals to bail him out with run support again.

And on May 16, Lopez tossed a scoreless inning and got the run needed to get him another win.
This is a bit of proof that wins are an odd statistic, but they're one that has been tracked for a long time, and almost certainly nobody has had a line quite like Lopez.
He also has five holds and just picked up a save on May 24, finishing off a 3-0 win over the Giants.
Lopez may not be baseball's best reliever, but he's gosh-darn fortunate.
