The Toronto Blue Jays suffered a heartbreaking loss in the World Series, losing in seven games. However, they may be able to make a splash this offseason to offset that devastating loss.

According to MLB insider Bob Nightengale, the Blue Jays are a perfect fit for four-time All-Star Kyle Tucker, who is the top free agent on the market this offseason.

“Tucker, a native of Tampa, will sign with the Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays or Los Dodgers, GMs predict…Don’t be surprised if the Blue Jays are the perfect fit,” Nightingale wrote.

This past season, Tucker slashed.266/.377/.464/.841 with 25 doubles, 22 home runs, 73 RBI, and 25 stolen bases in 136 games played. He would headline with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. And Bo Bichette, who the Jays are also expected to re-sign this offseason.

Tucker will cost a pretty penny, though. He’s projected to get paid this offseason, with a contract of around 12 years, $460 million. However, the Blue Jays aren’t afraid to spend; they did have a top-five payroll in the MLB last season.

Combine Tucker, Guerrero Jr., and Bichette, and you get one of the most fearsome trios of batters in the MLB. Hopefully, the Blue Jays get right on it, or other contenders with deep pockets, like the New York Yankees or Los Angeles Dodgers, might beat them to it.
