The Toronto Blue Jays were just three outs away from winning the World Series, but the Los Angeles Dodgers had other plans. In what was arguably one of the greatest World Series ever, the Dodgers completed a repeat championship. During the series, Bo Bichette boosted his offseason market with a strong performance.

“Can confirm Bo Bichette has received interest from multiple teams who view him as a second baseman or third baseman, due to the presence of an established shortstop on those rosters. Further evidence that the World Series augmented his value in the marketplace,” MLB insider Jon Morosi posted.

Bichette is one of the brightest stars in the game, and his bat is especially dominant. The young veteran will be looking for a contract that sets him up for years to come.

“The key question facing Bichette's free agency is how teams will view him positionally. If a club is willing to stomach his shortstop defense, then the comparison to Willy Adames' agreement with the Giants (seven years, $182 million) is a good reference point. I'm going to assume that will be the case, at least in the short term. I'll add in some extra coin because of Bichette's age advantage and inflation. Seven years, $189 million ($27 million AAV),’” CBS Sports’ RJ Anderson wrote.

While Bichette has options this offseason, Sportsnaut’s Matt Johnson believes he will return to Toronto.

“Regardless of where Kyle Tucker signs, we think Bo Bichette will return to the Toronto Blue Jays. He has made it pretty clear that his desire is to spend his career playing alongside Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and the Blue Jays’ spending this offseason shows they are all-in on winning a World Series. Plus, Bichette is now more than willing to play second base. It feels like a matter of when, not if, Toronto re-signs Bichette,” Johnson wrote.

Bichette returning to Toronto would be a relief for fans and would avoid the shock of seeing him in another uniform. However, if the Blue Jays pursue Bichette, it likely signals the end of the road for Kyle Tucker.

Toronto is expected to bring back only one of the two stars between Bichette and Tucker. With Bichette likely the choice, Tucker will be looking to secure his own contract elsewhere.
