The Toronto Blue Jays put out an epic performance in the World Series this year, but fizzled out in extra innings in game seven, losing the championship. Now, with Bo Bichette possibly hitting the market, they’ll need to consider finding a replacement.

Fansided’s Christopher Kline believes the Jays should make a trade, and would be a top suitor for three-time All-Star and perennial MVP candidate, Fernando Tatis Jr.

“The Toronto Blue Jays were painfully close to capturing their first World Series title since the early 90s. That should only motivate Ross Atkins to go 110 percent all offseason, and Atkins is already one of the most aggressive GMs in MLB by nature. Bo Bichette's impending departure could open the door for a major swing like this, with Tatis sliding into right field and Addison Barger shifting to third base. Toronto's lineup is one of the most well-rounded and explosive in recent memory; Tatis could crank things up another notch, offering great protection behind Vladimir Guerrero Jr. — or vice versa,” Kline wrote.

This past season, Tatis hit.268/.368/.446/.814, with 27 doubles, 25 home runs, 71 RBI, and 32 stolen bases in 155 games. With Tatis, the Jays’ outfield defense would become one of the best in the MLB. They’d have a two-time Platinum Glove in right field and a Gold Glove in Daulton Varsho at center field.

Plus, there is a chance Bichette stays. According to insiders, it seems the Jays will re-sign him, and if they do, they should still go and get Tatis to maximize their chances of taking down the dynasty the Los Angeles Dodgers are creating.

Hopefully, they will start crafting an offer soon. Otherwise, another contender that wants an MVP-level outfielder on their roster will swoop right in and make a deal.
