Blue Jays are favorites for Kyle Tucker, but Yankees, Mets, and Dodgers reportedly in the mix image

Reports have indicated that the New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays have shown some level of interest in outfielder Kyle Tucker.

Tucker was reportedly at the Blue Jays’ facility in Florida about two weeks ago, with many considering Toronto the favorites at the moment.

It remains uncertain when Tucker will sign, but according to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, he expects the left-handed-hitting outfielders market to start heating up. He had the latest on the situation.

“Those signings were just the appetizers for the rest of the position-player menu, because the biggest names remain available.

“Kyle Tucker, Cody Bellinger, Alex Bregman and Bo Bichette should see their markets begin to heat up, especially with few players on the trade market of their caliber. Tucker has already visited the Blue Jays, though the Yankees, Mets and Dodgers are lurking as potential suitors. Bellinger could wait until Tucker sets the market before making his decision,” he wrote.

It’s interesting to see the Yankees in the mix here, as others have come out and stated that they aren’t too interested in the All-Star.

Tucker would obviously be a great addition for the Yankees, but it could also complicate things with what they want to do with their young talent.

The Blue Jays have continued to show a willingness to go out and land very good players, so it feels safe to say they’re in a better spot to land a player of his caliber than the Yankees.
