Right-hander Mitch White re-signed with the Korea Baseball Organization's SSG Landers, Dan Kurtz of MyKBO reported on X on Monday.
White made his KBO debut with the Landers in 2025 after a five-year playing career in Major League Baseball with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Toronto Blue Jays, San Francisco Giants, and Milwaukee Brewers.
The Dodgers selected White, 31, in the second round of the 2016 MLB Draft, and he made his Major League debut with the organization in 2020. The Blue Jays acquired the Santa Clara University product from Los Angeles in August 2022.
He had an unimpressive 5.25 ERA and averaged 7.5 strikeouts per nine innings in 185 MLB innings, coming mostly out of the bullpen. White spent parts of three seasons with the Blue Jays before a trade to the Giants in April 2024.
White's first season with the Landers
White finished his first season in South Korea with an 11-4 record and 2.87 ERA in 24 starts in the Landers rotation. He allowed just nine home runs in 134.2 innings.
He will earn $1.2 million with the Landers next season, about $400,000 less than his total career earnings across his five years in the Major Leagues.
Another solid performance in South Korea could help White land a future contract back in the United States in affiliated baseball. The Blue Jays signed the KBO's 2025 MVP, right-hander Cody Ponce, earlier this offseason.
