The Toronto Blue Jays are one of the biggest spenders so far this offseason, and they aren't planning to stop just yet.
While they're in the markets for Kyle Tucker, Bo Bichette, and Cody Bellinger, one of the free agents they're most strongly pursuing is Alex Bregman.
According to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, the Blue Jays are one of the most aggressive teams after Bregman, joined by the Arizona Diamondbacks as his most likely landing spots this winter.
Alex Bregman rumor has Blue Jays, D-Backs as aggressive pursuers
"Sources believe the Blue Jays and Diamondbacks may be the two most aggressive clubs in the hun for Bregman," Feinsand writes, "though a Red Sox reunion remains a possibility."
The Blue Jays could face stiff competition from Bregman's former team, the Boston Red Sox, in his market. But the Diamondbacks are the more likely contender for Bregman.
Boston is strongly considering adding Bo Bichette this winter, so the Blue Jays and Red Sox could swap veteran infielders if the free agent moves fall that way.
Bregman is also being pursued by the Detroit Tigers, but their offer isn't as good as it once was, leaving the Diamondbacks, Red Sox, and Blue Jays as the most likely landing spots.

If the market develops in a way that takes Boston, Toronto, and Arizona out of the running, there are some other teams that could emerge as suitors for Bregman.
But, for now, it looks like Bregman's top landing spots are the Blue Jays, Red Sox, and Diamondbacks, with Arizona and Toronto as the most aggressive players.
He's a highly coveted free agent, and with the money the Blue Jays have to spend, he's very much a realistic target for Toronto this winter.
Toronto is one of the most active teams this winter, and one of the elite players left on the board is likely to come to the Blue Jays. Bregman, after this update, looks to be a very likely candidate to join the Blue Jays in 2026.
