The Seattle Mariners weren't sure if Bryan Woo would be available this postseason with a pec issue.
But now, he's on the comeback trail.
Woo threw a bullpen session with hitters standing in on Thursday in Seattle, and it sounds like everything went well.
He isn't expected to pitch in the ALDS, but he could get back if the Mariners can advance further.
According to Mariners beat writer Shannon Drayer on X: "Woo felt good about what he did today but stressed it’s day by day in terms of progressing to a return. Said it’s more of a matter of building up correctly and less the pec being an issue. Not where he wants to be in terms of game speed, eager to see where he is next week."

Woo was an All Star as part of a brilliant season.
The 25-year old right-hander had a 2.94 ERA in the regular season with a 15-7 record.
He was one of the most consistent starters in the sport, almost always going six innings and limiting damage.
In 186.2 innings on the season, Woo struck out 198 and walked just 36. That's incredible.

Seattle's deep stable of starting pitching is part of the reason they're believed in as a true World Series contender. A return of Woo would be a big deal.
The Mariners will open the ALDS on Saturday against the Detroit Tigers. And if they can keep winning, Woo might get to play a part after all.
