The San Francisco Giants have not made a big splash this offseason like many other teams have. They have only made a handful of moves so far, which has the fanbase worried.

With Tyler Rogers signing with the Toronto Blue Jays, they struck deals with relievers Sam Hentges and Jason Foley and signed starting pitchers Adrian Houser to a two-year deal and Tyler Mahle on a one-year deal.

Their biggest acquisition came recently when they struck a deal with Harrison Bader. The two sides agreed on a two-year, $20.5 million contract.

Playing in a division like the NL West, the Giants need all the help they can get. They have the nearly impossible task of trying to keep up with the likes of the Los Angeles Dodgers

To do so, the club needs more star power. And with the top free agents already signed, the club might turn to the trade market.

There have been plenty of intriguing names dangled by their teams. Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller makes the case for the Giants and Washington Nationals making a blockbuster trade, sending CJ Abrams to SF in exchange for Bryce Eldridge.

"We know the Giants have kicked the tires on acquiring Abrams, but they've probably balked at being willing to part with Eldridge, instead of hoping that the Nationals will accept a 'one quarter and four dimes for a dollar' type of offer that they took from the Texas Rangers for Gore. Could be a simple one-for-one swap, though, giving Washington its primary first baseman for the next six-plus years."

This would be a relatively simple trade, sending one player for another. Rafael Devers can play first base if SF wanted to go this route. Abrams could slot over at second base and could pair well with Willy Adames as a middle-infield duo.
