Fans of the San Francisco Giants will remember Hunter Pence and his role in a couple World Series championships quite fondly.
Well, there's another Pence on the way, and he could be special.
This new Pence is Hunter's nephew: Striker Pence.
What an incredible name for a flamethrowing pitcher.
Striker Pence was ranked by ESPN's Kiley McDaniel as the fifth-best player on the planet born in the year 2009, meaning he's 16. He pitches at Santiago High School in California.
And he can absolutely bring it.
"Pence was seen as a strong two-way prospect early in 2025 but turned into one of the more intriguing pitchers on Earth this summer, when he sat in the upper-90s and hit 100 mph at multiple events, mixing in a strong slider, sweeper and splitter as a 6-foot-6 16-year-old," McDaniel wrote on Wednesday.

Three of the four players in his age group that McDaniel ranks ahead of Striker Pence will be international signees.
The only domestic player McDaniel currently has ahead is Jacob Seamon, an outfielder from North Carolina.
There's still obviously a lot of time in a young pitcher's development. This ranking is no guarantee of long-term success.
But with a name and a game made for big things, Striker Pence is on his way.
