The San Diego Padres are in danger of losing multiple key players this offseason. Luis Arraez, Robert Suarez, and Ryan O'Hearn are on the open market. At the same time, Michael King, Dylan Cease, and Ramon Laureano received a qualifying offer but will likely see what they can get during free agency.

Losing some of these names could hurt more than others, especially with the news that Yu Darvish will miss the 2026 season after elbow surgery. San Diego will certainly be looking to add an arm or two over the winter break.

However, losing a key slugger like Luis Arraez, who has played multiple positions for the Padres, could hurt as well. His level of offense can be game-changing, even if he lost a step or two over the years.

Arraez, ESPN: 2-yr deal predicted

Luis Arraez goes into the offseason as a very unique player. Being a three-time batting champion, he could be viewed as someone who could set the tone for whichever team decides to sign him.

He may not get as much as he is hoping for, though. ESPN's Kiley McDaniel projects the slugger to receive a two-year, $17 million deal, but could see him signing a one-year deal as well.

"I think there will be some two-year interest, but Arraez getting a string of one-year deals wouldn't surprise me."

Teams that come to mind who could use Arraez's abilities at the plate are the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Angels. Both are looking for someone to be consistent on the offensive side of things.
