Oneil Cruz just stood there.

The Pittsburgh Pirates' superstar centerfielder had just failed to field a groundball to the outfield. And as it bounded away toward the wall, Cruz stood still.

It's not a flattering look for Cruz.

The Rangers began the play with a guy on first base. At absolute worst, this should've been first and third, and it really likely would've been first and second.

Instead, a run scored, and the batter Sam Haggerty ended up standing on third base.

Cruz just watched as his right fielder took the long run over to retrieve the baseball.

He's one of the most talented players in baseball, and he often flies around the diamond.

But for whatever reason on this Friday night, Cruz didn't have the hustle gene turned on, and it won't be a well-received behavior.
