The Philadelphia Phillies, after signing Kyle Schwarber, Adolis Garcia, and Brad Keller, have gone quiet this winter.

While J.T. Realmuto is a priority, the two sides are seemingly still far apart on a deal. Instead, the Phillies could eye another outfielder, but a new report points to an infielder being among the players Philadelphia is eyeing this winter.

According to Jon Heyman of The New York Post, the Phillies are showing interest in the Toronto Blue Jays free agent Bo Bichette. This is a very fascinating option for the Phillies, and could help ignite hope for the fanbase after a slow winter.

"The Phillies are among a number of big-market teams to have interest in Bo Bichette, an ultra-young (27) free agent," Heyman reports. "Yanks, Cubs, Dodgers, RedSox, and incumbent Jays, too."

Bichette would be an incredibly interesting option for the Phillies. They don't need to add to their infield, but if they do land Bichette, the Phillies could move on from Alec Bohm or Bryson Stott.

Adding Bichette would mean that one of Stott or Bohm would be on their way out. He's an infielder who could play shortstop or second base, and with Trea Turner locking down shortstop, Bichette's best spot on the Phillies would be at second or third.

Moving Stott to third base might be in play, but there is a significant risk with such a move. He's not played the position before, and while he's a good defender, it's a risky move for Dave Dombrowski and company to make.

They could also move on from Stott, who would be a quality trade chip, in hopes of finding a new starting catcher. But, regardless of how the Phillies would plan it out, a Bichette signing would be a very interesting one.

It won't be cheap for the Phillies to bring in Bichette, and his fit on the roster is not an obvious one. But, he'd be a very exciting pickup, as his.311 batting average would be a huge addition to the Phillies lineup.
