Phillies fans will be sick after latest comments from Dave Dombrowski image

The Philadelphia Phillies have had one major issue plaguing the roster over the last four or so years: the outfield has been a mess.

While Brandon Marsh, Nick Castellanos, and Harrison Bader have had their moments over the years, the outfield has been a huge issue. Adolis Garcia was signed to a $10 million deal, and Justin Crawford will be in the fold for the 2026 season.

But those two are major unknowns in the outfield, and most Phillies fans want more to be done. Whether it's a blockbuster trade or signing, the outfield could use some more work. But Dave Dombrowski believes otherwise, and his comments will make Phillies fans sick.

Phillies fans won't be happy with Dave Dombrowski's explanation for the OF

Bob Nightengale of USA Today shared Dombrowski's answer when asked about the future of the outfield. Dombrowski said that the outfield is "pretty much set" this season after the Garcia signing.

If that holds, then the Phillies outfield on Opening Day would likely be Marsh in left field, Crawford in center field, and Garcia in right field.

While that isn't the worst configuration, there are a lot of unknowns with Crawford and Garcia's production. Adding another outfield option would be ideal for the Phillies, especially if they were a more consistently good player.

But, no such moves are likely to come, as the Phillies plan to roll into 2026 with this group in the outfield. Castellanos being traded or cut might be the final move regarding the outfield this offseason.

In terms of additions to this group? Dombrowski's quote all but confirms that no more moves will be made to add to the outfield.

Something small, for depth purposes, could be on the horizon. But, as things stand with this quote from Dombrowksi, the Phillies will plan to go into 2026 with an outfield of Justin Crawford, Brandon Marsh, and Adolis Garcia.
