Where in the world did this come from?
Edmundo Sosa, of all people, powering the Philadelphia Phillies to a franchise-record eight-homer game?
Yeah, Edmundo Sosa.
The infielder slugged three homers of his own on the night of his life.

The 29-year old from Panama entered the night with 32 career home runs in 1,232 at bats.
This season, Sosa had seven homers in 230 at bats.
Sosa hadn't homered since August 23. He had 32 at bats since then without going deep.
But then three in one night. Sure, why not?
Baseball is funny like that sometimes.
Sosa wasn't the only slugger, of course. Kyle Schwarber hit two to get to his 56th homer of the season, which went 468 feet.
But Sosa put up the trifecta on a night unlike any he's ever had before. That's pretty cool.
