The second Wild Card Series round in MLB history has wrapped up, leaving eight teams in the 2022 postseason.
The vaunted AL East, which sent three teams to the playoffs, saw both the Rays and Blue Jays eliminated by the Guardians and Mariners, respectively. Two of the biggest playoff underdogs will continue their postseason run.
In the National League, the Mets had their season end as they dropped two of three to the Padres, while Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina concluded their final postseason run with a two-game sweep by the Phillies.
The Division Series will feature three sets of division foes facing off: Dodgers-Padres, Braves-Phillies and Astros-Mariners. The only non-divisional matchup will be the Yankees-Guardians.
