Part of All-Star Weekend, the 2023 MLB Draft will take place in Seattle.

With the No. 1 overall pick, the Pirates are on the clock. There isn't much mystery about where they're going to go, of course. Dylan Crews is poised to become the No. 1 prospect in the Pirates farm system, with the LSU star drawing some lofty comparisons coming out of college.

The draft will take place July 9-11, with this year being the inaugural order set by a draft lottery. The Nationals will pick second, and the Tigers go third overall.

MLB Draft first-round order 2023

The Pirates currently hold the first overall pick in this year's draft, having won the lottery over the Nationals. The Nationals will be picking second, with the Tigers securing the third pick.

The Dodgers and Mets are picking outside of the top 30 for exceeding MLB's luxury tax, and the Mariners have the 29th pick as a compensatory pick for the performance of Julio Rodriguez, who won Rookie of the Year in 2022.
