The Phillies were 6-0 at home in the 2022 MLB postseason heading into Game 4 of the World Series, and the Astros were left looking for answers after a Game 3 shellacking.

Wednesday's game could not have gone more differently. The Phillies were humbled in a combined no-hitter by the Houston pitching staff, headed by six innings from starter Cristian Javier.
It was just the third no-hitter in postseason history and the second in World Series play, with the other being Don Larsen's perfect game in 1956. The 5-0 result sets up an inflection-point Game 5 at Citizens Bank Park with the series now tied 2-2.
Thursday's probable starters are Justin Verlander and Noah Syndergaard. Verlander started Game 1 for the Astros, a 6-5, 10-inning Houston loss in which the Astros let a five-run lead slip through their fingers. Syndergaard will be making his first World Series appearance since 2015 with the Mets against the Royals.
Although the loss will undoubtedly take some wind out of the Phillies' sails, they're still at home for Game 5. The teams have alternated wins in this series. Philadelphia will hope to do so again.

The Astros are looking to ride the momentum the Phillies were believed to have rolling into Game 4. Houston's bullpen has been as advertised, but the bats will need to be more consistent later in the game to take the next step in the series.
