With the return of Cody Bellinger to the Bronx, there's a logjam.

The New York Yankees have too many hitters, particularly in the outfield. Something has to give. And that something could be a Jasson Dominguez trade.

That's what ESPN's Jorge Castillo is predicting in a new article on Friday. He thinks the Yanks can swap Dominguez to fill a bigger need elsewhere.

"The Yankees could use him as part of a trade to bolster another area -- perhaps pitching help or a right-handed-hitting catcher or outfielder," Castillo writes.

It'd be a disappointing end in New York for Dominguez, who has been one of the organization's top prospects for years and has shown flashes of his ability at the major league level.

But without a great place to use Dominguez, the Yankees may have to pivot in a different direction.

"The switch-hitting Dominguez's speed and ability to hit left-handed against right-handed pitching could make him an asset off the bench," Castillo writes. "And he turns 23 in February. But he's a poor defender -- the Yankees clearly don't believe he's a big league center fielder and he struggled mightily in left last season -- and he hasn't proved he can hit right-handed in the majors."

The Yankees don't just have a problem of finding playing time for Dominguez. They also have 6-foot-7 slugging prospect Spencer Jones likely ready for his MLB debut but also with no place to play.

At some point, it feels like a move will come. Maybe that's before spring training, which is the timeline Castillo predicts a Dominguez trade to happen on. Maybe it's later.

But at some point, the Yankees' overloaded outfield seems likely to turn into a different asset.
