The New York Yankees have two problems to face this offseason: whether or not to bring back Cody Bellinger, and/or Trent Grisham. With Aaron Judge being the other outfielder, and Jasson Dominguez looking ready to start, it may come down to one spot needing to be filled.

Bleacher Report’s Kerry Miller believes there should be a third option: going out and getting an interim third outfielder in Cleveland Guardians All-Star Steven Kwan.

“With the exception of Kyle Tucker, the most noteworthy free agent outfielders are the two who spent this past season with the Yankees: Cody Bellinger and Trent Grisham. But with Jasson Domínguez already a regular in the bigs and Spencer Jones on the way, maybe they're not all that interested in any sort of long-term re-investment in an outfielder, in which case the trade block will come in handy,” Miller wrote.

This season, Kwan slashed.272/.330/.374/.705 with 29 doubles, 11 home runs, and 56 RBI in 156 games played. While his stats were down from his earlier seasons, playing in a hitter-friendly park like Yankee Stadium would be sure to revitalize them.

Now, the big question is whether or not the Yankees think Spencer Jones is ready for the MLB. If he is, then getting Kwan works. If he isn’t, they should still get Kwan and try to bring back either Bellinger or Grisham.

Hopefully, the Yanks will decide on their path soon, as many other suitors will inquire about Kwan this offseason as well.
