Jazz Chisholm has had one of the most prolific starts to a New York Yankees career in the entire history of the storied franchise.
That's true in a number of ways, but it's particularly true when you count his home runs.
Chisholm has now played exactly 162 games with the Yanks since his trade in the middle of the 2024 season from the Marlins.
And in that span, Chisholm has launched exactly 40 home runs.
He is the sixth player in Yankees history to hit 40 or more homers in his first 162 games with the franchise, according to Baseball Reference's Katie Sharp.

The first to ever do it was Babe Ruth, who quickly made the Boston Red Sox look bad for trading him away.
Roger Maris did it after a trade, too, hitting the ground running following his move from the Kansas City Athletics.
The next to do it was Jason Giambi, himself a former A's slugger, too.
Gary Sanchez was the first to do it after coming through the Yankees' minor league system, and he's the most disappointing of the bunch, having flamed out after such a promising start.
And then Aaron Judge did it to start his career, too, as another developed Yankees farmhand.
Chisholm now does it after the trade route.
Maybe even cooler? Chisholm also has 48 stolen bases through his first 162 games with the Yankees, giving him a 40/40 full-season stretch spread across two campaigns.
Chisholm has rediscovered himself in pinstripes, and it's been such a great move for the Yankees.
