Yankees get important update on Cody Bellinger ahead of ALDS vs. Blue Jays image

It took the New York Yankees all three games in the wild card series to advance to the ALDS to square off with another division rival, the Toronto Blue Jays

The first game of the Yankees-Blue Jays series is set for Saturday at 4:00 P.M. in Toronto. A key development for the Yankees is Blue Jays' shortstop Bo Bichette being left off the ALDS roster.

For the Yankees, some of their players are also banged up after a full team effort on Thursday night.

The Yankees get updates on Cody Bellinger and Ryan McMahon

Yankees outfielder Cody Bellinger looked visibly beat up multiple times in game three against the Red Sox. Bellinger hit a double in the fourth inning and appeared to have jammed his heel into second base while hustling for the extra base hit.

According to Gary Phillips of NY Daily Sports, manager Aaron Boone confirmed that Bellinger is good to go, and will be ready for game one against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Boone also noted that third baseman Ryan McMahon, who made a phenomenal catch in foul territory in the eighth inning of Thursday's game, is feeling good and would be available for Saturday's game.

As for Bellinger, he is a vital piece for the Yankees, and he must be able to stay in the lineup and play the outfield.

Luis Gil is set to start game one for New York, with Max Fried to follow in game two.
