Revenge is a dish best served with three home runs.
That's how that phrase goes, right?
It is for Cody Bellinger, at least.
The New York Yankees' lefty slugger played his first game against the Cubs after leaving Chicago, and it featured a trio of homers on Friday night.
He's the first player in MLB history to hit three home runs in his first game against a former team, according to MLB Network's Sarah Langs.

The Cubs traded Bellinger to the Yankees in the offseason.
Bellinger had grown back into a solid player after a weird valley followed his 2019 MVP season with the Dodgers.
Now with the Yankees, Bellinger has often looked even more like his old self.
He's now batting .285 with 16 homers and an .838 OPS.
The Cubs are certainly plenty happy with their outfield of Kyle Tucker, Pete Crow-Armstrong and Seiya Suzuki, along with the play of Michael Busch at first base. But man, imagine what it'd be like if they had Bellinger, too.
