The Boston Red Sox just completed a sweep of the New York Yankees on Sunday in Fenway Park. There's no sweeter regular season feeling in the greatest rivalry in baseball.
But it's the Yankees who end the weekend feeling good about themselves.
Why?
Because the Red Sox just traded superstar slugger Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants in one of the most shocking trades in MLB history.

Devers is a Yankees killer.
In 119 regular season games vs. New York, Devers batted .270 with 31 homers and 78 RBI.
He once hit the most impressive left-on-left homer ever off Aroldis Chapman's triple-digit fastball with a laser the other way to win Boston a game.
He's noted for crushing Gerrit Cole.
Now, Devers is of no concern to the Yankees.
Boston got a couple MLB arms in return and a couple of so-so prospects.
The Red Sox won't pay any of Devers' remaining contract, so maybe they'll eventually pursue a different expensive star.
But for right now, Boston is worse off for making this trade, and the Yankees can breathe a huge sigh of relief even after a weekend sweep by their rival, because only one of these teams really won on Sunday, and it wasn't the team that had Rafael Devers homer in his final at bat.
