One of the New York Yankees' many talented arms has officially said goodbye.
Jonathan Loaisiga signed as a free agent this offseason with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
On Saturday, Loaisiga posted on Instagram to say goodbye to the Bronx with a message shared in both Spanish and English.
"Saying goodbye to the New York Yankees means closing a very important chapter in my life, filled with challenges, growth and moments I will carry with me forever," he wrote on IG.

Loaisiga had tantalizing talent. He had a 3.54 ERA for the Yankees and averaged 8.4 strikeouts per nine innings.
Health and opportunity were never fully on his side, though.
The Diamondbacks got him on a very low-risk contract that does have some potential upside.
Loaisiga is 31 years old now and could have a handful of good years left in the majors if he can stay healthy.
"I am about to begin a new challenge, but I leave with gratitude and pride," Loaisiga continued on IG. "I wish you all the best, continued success, and many great accomplishments ahead. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."

The Yankees have a bunch of talented pitchers still, although health and consistency varies for many of the guys still in pinstripes, too.
There's a chance they wind up missing Loaisiga, but he's taking a new opportunity and seeing what he can make of it.
