The Los Angeles Dodgers have proven over the past few years that they’re willing to do whatever it takes to compete for a World Series.
Whether that means spending aggressively, making the trades they need to make, or anything else, the Dodgers are always positioned to add talent.
Looking at what that might mean this winter, there’s a very good chance their approach will impact what the New York Yankees hope to do.
Speaking on that front, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com even went as far as to say that ruling out the Dodgers landing Cody Bellinger would be a mistake.
"It’s naïve to rule out the Dodgers when it comes to any big-ticket free agent, but their need for (Kyle) Tucker or Bellinger is not as dire as some of the other teams pursuing the outfielders," Feinsand wrote. "I would be surprised if either of them winds up in Los Angeles, but it’s certainly not an impossibility."
As he noted, while it might not be the most likely destination, it’s absolutely not impossible.
Bellinger has already played for the Dodgers and had his best seasons there, so that could be another factor to consider in his free-agency decision.
