There's a mystery team. Or maybe two.
Cody Bellinger remains a free agent, and the New York Yankees and New York Mets remain involved.
But beyond them? There's more.
That's what MLB insider Jon Heyman reported on Tuesday night in a short post on X:
"Cody Bellinger is weighing interest from the Yankees, Mets and two others."
There's no surprise that the Yanks and Mets are in.
It would be widely assumed that the Toronto Blue Jays are one of the two other teams based on earlier reports.
But the fourth team? That's a much bigger mystery.

Very early in the offseason, the Kansas City Royals were floated as a possibility. They certainly could use the outfield help.
Maybe the Chicago Cubs would try to get into the picture after losing Kyle Tucker.
The Detroit Tigers spent some of this offseason looking to spend money but haven't spent much.
Or maybe it's a total out of left field club that no one is thinking of at all.
Regardless, it's cool that there's a bit of a bidding war for Bellinger. One team is going to end up happy, and it sounds like three might go home bummed out.
